Revisiting my favourite childhood reads

A wooden wardrobe with partially open doors.

Back in 2018 I wrote an essay called Arthur Ransome: nature writer? for Land Lines, an AHRC funded project looking at British Nature Writing 1789-2014. I really enjoyed revisiting the book and so over the last couple of years I’ve been rereading and writing about other childhood favourites. You can find links to all the posts in the series below, including my complete read through of C.S. Lewis’ Narnia stories. There’s also a bonus post about visiting The Story Museum in Oxford.
